The Institute for Research & Policy Alternatives (IRPA) is a consultancy entity registered as a private limited company in 2012. It was founded by Fred Matiangi and Ken Nyaundi.
The IRPA was established for the purposes of training, research, publication and certification in all aspects of public policy and governance. Its consultancy services are primarily related to public sector innovation, public service delivery and public resources management.
Focus is paid to promoting innovative practices in the public sector, implementing and translating policy frameworks, in addition to monitoring governance and public administration institutions. As a firm, it has carried out numerous research activities, provided advice and project management delivery to public and private institutions, government, national institutions and state bodies in all aspects relating to governance and public policy.
